The clever musings or uncomfortable rants depending on hormonal fluctuations of a wireworker/jeweler Mom attempting to create desirable doodads in the rare free moments when I am not parenting my adorable children.

Our butterflies emerged from their cocoons the past two days. It's been very exciting.I didn't intend for the kids to take them out of their butterfly tent but Henry went ahead and did it when I wasn't paying attantion. The butterflies are very docile and interested. Probably because we are in the midst of a cold snap (unlike the rest of the country) and they want the warmth of the kids hands. That's my uneducated guess.

Great pics! Looks like the boys are being so gentle....Mimi and Moe are a little too rough with animals/insects....We have to tell Mimi the worms are "taking naps" after she has played with them. She loves them to death--literally! And then feels so badly when they quit moving!
Well we did have one butterfly who ended up with a broken wing thanks to an overzealous little boy who blamed it on his little brother....
But it was really lovely to see them fly off into the trees (except for that broken wing one)
Very cool--where did you get your butterfly house? Spencer has been fascinated since last year when we went into a big Butterfly House in the Adirondacks. He would love something like this.
We ordered it from Amazon. It was the least expensive one (of course:) but they have them at the local upscale toy store here in town and would have cost about the same anyway including the postage.
It was so easy and fun!Now they want me to do it again and order more caterpillers. We probably will.
Happy Father's Day! Hope you have a wonderful day with your family!
i found you thru mimi & moe's mom. visit my blog if you get a chance! have a great day!
What are you guys up to these days? i hope all is well! :)
